New Blue To Rip It Up At New Lodge - Logan Rankin

Gary McCann has made 4 signings since narrowly missing out on promotion last campaign, and in The New Lodge's opinion The Blue' had a superb defence but on the other end of the pitch? Not enough action. The Blues' gaffer has heard the cries and has added depth into the forward position. Enter: Troy Howard.

Troy Howard - Youth Career
Howard started playing competitive football at the tender age of 13 where he felt, Dover Athletic affiliate, Dover Rangers would be the right fit for a young Troy. After a year of playing at the white cliff capital, Howard made the switch to Deal Town from the U14s level untill the U16s level. Howard impressed enough at the youth level to sign a first senior deal, with Deal Town.

Troy Howard - Senior Career
After a few successful campaigns with The Town, he would make the impressive move to the west coast of Margate. After only a year as a Gate player he made the switch to Herne Bay where he spent a successful 2 terms at the Safety Net Stadium. After 2 great years, Sittingbourne came calling for the performing front-man. Howard would continue to preform as a Brickie as the forward bagged 15 great goals in red and black. He scored the majority of his goals came during the phenomenal 32 games unbeaten. The then 22 year-old was played a very key role within their FA Trophy charge, notably when they skimmed past National League outfit, Southend United, in the later stages within the competition.

The Newest In Blue
Troy becomes the 5th signing for Gary McCann's title contending team as he prepares to storm the Isthmian Premier League. With a year deal signed and a load of experience at only 23, Blues fans can expect a stellar performance from the English born forward. Prior to signing, Howard made it clear how much of an honour it was to be on board and was a no brainer with brilliant fans and a great stadium to perform in.

We send our wishes to Troy and hopes he prevails in blue this season.
