Lukombo's Aspirations Clear - Logan Rankin
We had a chat with Ramsgate defender, Henry Lukombo, about his transfer to Dover, his loan to Ramsgate, and his transfer to Ramsgate. After a successful season with Sittingbourne, finishinng second in the league and only succumbing to a narrow defeat in the Isthmian South East play-off final, Lukombo made a well deserved move to the National League South, joining Dover Athletic, who were recently promoted from the Isthmian Premier Division. Later throughout the season, the club accepted a loan offer from Ramsgate, on an initial 28 day loan, which was ideal for Henry to get more playing time. The 22 year-old centre-back was a key part for the 7 games he played in. After his return to Dover paltime was still a struggle, and from there Lee Martin would be a deciding factor in Lukombo's permanent move. Looking back, Henry had mixed emotions about his original move to Dover. as he felt he shouldn't have left Sittingbourne, if he knew he wasn't bound to get minutes on the South ...
