An Ode To a Legend - Logan Rankin

Over 100 appearances, many goals later, 2 spells in blue, Moses Emmanuel has called it quits with BTFC. Moses joined Billericay Town from Maindenhead United back in 2018 and made 57 appearances, scoring respectable goals to prepell his team infront. At the time, the 29 year-old would depart to Welling United before joining Wealdstone and scored on 11 separate occasions. A call to Hayes and Heading would soon follow for the bagsmen.  Gary McCann would come calling at the start of the 23/24 season for a return to the blue of Essex, and Emmanuel would start off strong, when he scored against Cray Wanderers to gain maximum points. Throughout his 2 year tenure at New Lodge he would prove to be vital in the frontline finding the back of the net 29 times in all competitions. Scoring the winner against Hendon, Bowers, Bognor, it has shown to be a memorable ride for the now 35 year-old. 80+ goals later, Moses Emmanuel has made the tough decision to leave Billericay Town F.C....

The Immediate Return - Logan Rankin

A cruel relegation last term, into a commanding play-off campaign. 49 league games across the season, how quite did Boreham Wood make an immediate comeback in spite of their relegation? 23/24 was heart wrenching for Boreham, as they finished in 21st, 1 point away from safety. York just about scraped survival. Boreham were massively  underwhelming for the most part of their last campaign only amounting 52 points. Despite their  relegation to the Nation League South, they managed to retain key players in Nathan Ashmore, Charles Clayden, and Mo Sagaf. 3 players perfectly capable of preforming in the division above decided to stay true and loyal to their club and stay on for 24/25. It was an eventful start for Boreham as they failed to lose in their opening 4 games - until they fell victim to a 2-1 defeat to Salisbury where Raynner Silva and Craig Fasanmade's goals were enough to send Wood into desperation despite opening the scoring with a penalty scored by Eric...

Summer Window Showing Intent For Blues - Logan Rankin

Billericay Town have been on the push to thoroughly improve the squad ahead of the 25/26 season campaign - to hopefully claim top spot as their own. With no retentions yet to be confirmed, as Gary McCann is set to start talks in the coming days, the squad is already being bolstered with the season only ending a number of weeks ago. The Departing Two In the last few days 2 players have announced their departures from Billericay Town F.C. Ansu Janneh and Ashley Nzala.  Early into the season, both players seemed to be key to McCann's plan for being title contenders, with the central midfielder and winger scoring on their debuts against Whitehawk. Ansu Janneh joined The Blues after a relatively successful time with Hastings United, and come the first game of the season, it seemed the 26 year-old got off to the perfect start with a truly audacious bicycle kick effort which flew past The Hawk's goalkeeper. Mid-way through the season, Janneh picked up a hip flexor injury which would s...

Believing In The Dream - Logan Rankin

The 42 game has concluded in the Isthmian Premier League and the winner has been crowned. Season Overview - Horsham In the league opener, the game didn't go quite as planned for The Hornets as they were beaten by Hastings United 2-0 with Fin Chapman and a Davide Rodari penalty being the only goals in the match, they would soon bounce back immediately as Horsham just scrapped past Chichester City. Charlie Hester-Cook netted early and Jimmy Wild found the equaliser but in the second half was soon denied by an 87th minute winner by Chris Dickson. The first half of the season was a clear understatement for The Hornets as they picked up 32 points and sat in 6th place, somewhat not title-worthy. In the new year, Horsham burst out of nowhere and grabbed 52 points in the 2nd half of the season alone. Regardless, it would all come down to the last game of the season. Horsham had to better Billericay Town's result. Horsham picked up their 3 points against Hashtag, with Jake Elliot, Harv...
